Accused officials had embezzled millions of rupees from pension and GP fund accounts

SARGODHA: Officials of anti-corruption department registered cases against eight officers of district accounts office, Khushab on corruption charges.

Give maximum punishment to corrupt officials, SC orders courts

An official said on Wednesday that on the complainant of Muhammad Khalil, an enquiry was conducted against eight officials of accounts office. On the recommendations of the inquiry officer, cases were registered against them.

The accused officials were identified as deputy accountants Mubashir Akhtar, and Abdul Rauf, Muhammad Rafiq, Abdul Majid, Omer Hayat, Ansar Farooq, Mushtaq and Nasir Rauf. The accused had embezzled millions of rupees from pension and GP fund accounts.

Meanwhile, the police registered a case against a naib tehsildar and reader of the revenue department in Khushab over corruption charges.
