Back in business: Punjab withdraws order to close down nonprofits
Foreign investors could establish textile, spinning, weaving, automobile and agro-based industries in the region. These were the remarks of Multan Chamber of Commerce & Industry (MCCI) President Khawaja Jalaluddin Roomi. He said the general threats to business had reduced vis-a-vis last year by 99 per cent in south Punjab.
The security situation improved nation-wide with Karachi being given the thumbs up by 89 per cent, closely followed by Lahore and rest of Punjab with 85 per cent and 82 per cent respectively. He said that OICCI annual security survey 2017 highlighted a positive movement in the members’ perception of the environment in Pakistan. It reflected an improvement in the security environment in especially after launch of military operations.
Rs 213 billion set aside for South Punjab development
The security environment had substantially improved not only for the foreign investors but also for their customers, suppliers and employees, said Roomi.
