Saturday was a big night in the Big Apple as Bollywood took the city by storm. Hoards of our favourite celebrities were in New York to attend the 18th annual IIFA Awards and as expected, looked drop-dead gorgeous throughout.

Here’s a quick lowdown on some of the prettiest outfits from this year’s green carpet.

Katrina Kaif

The actor looked nothing short of a real-life princess in a grey Snow Crystal Forest gown by Ziad Nakad. The dress entailed detailed embellishments and a pair of statement earrings completed Katrina’s fairytale look to perfection. And to put the cherry on top of the cake, it also happened to be her birthday on July 16! Suffice it to say, the birthday girl slayed throughout.

Alia Bhatt

She might not have known this from before but Alia actually ended up winning the Best Actress award on Saturday for her film Udta Punjab. And when she did, we were glad she picked this deep grey Zuhair Murad couture dress for her shining moment. The dress was adorned with multi-coloured sequins which glistened with every move and Alia’s minimalistic hair and makeup complemented that perfectly.

Sonakshi Sinha

This Bollywood beauty went the slinky route, donning a sheer, figure-hugging La Bourjoisie gown dotted with crimson stars. Considering that Sonakshi’s naturally a ‘big’ girl, it’s shocking to see how great her physique looked in the outfit. And as for the hair and makeup, we’re totally digging the low-lights she opted for. Good for you, Sonakshi!
