Universities face challenge of improving pedagogy and teaching processes

The Quality Enhancement Cell of University of Education (UE) organized a training workshop on the implementation of minimum quality standards in affiliated colleges.

The purpose of the workshop was to create critical thinking and to develop the required competence to address the challenges faced by Higher Education Institutions in producing effective graduates.

While addressing the participants, Vice Chancellor Dr Rauf-i-Azam said that educational institutes should focus more on quality rather than quantity. He said the ultimate aim of universities was to produce graduates who were effective leaders in their careers, communities and societies.


In this perspective, the universities were facing the challenge of improving pedagogy and teaching processes. However, this challenge could be addressed if academia established liaison with student bodies and industry, he added.

UE Quality Enhancement Cell Director Dr Mansha highlighted the standards mentioned in HEC manual during the training workshop.
