Youngsters make Pakistan proud at event in Malaysia

KARACHI: Pakistan’s Huzaifa Ibrahim and Uzair Rasheed both won titles at the 3rd CMS Borneo Junior Open in Malaysia on Wednesday.

Ibrahim defeated Australia’s Oscar Barry 13-11, 11-1, 11-9 in the final of his event and added to his earlier triumphs at the Houston International Junior Squash Championship and Washington International Squash Juniors Championship.

Likewise, Rasheed starred in the U19 event, outclassing Malaysia’s Dheena Dharshan Sivabalan 11-9, 11-6, 11-8 in the final.

On the other hand, Pakistan’s Amna Fayyaz bagged a bronze medal in the girls' U15 event.
