Two people electrocuted to death

FAISALABAD:
A bandit was killed by firing of his accomplices in the precincts of Peoples Colony police station in Faisalabad on Monday.

Police said three bandits stormed into the Homeopathic Clinic of Dr Muhammad Ashraf at Small D-Ground and started looting the people. In the meantime, Dr Ashraf overpowered one of the culprits. During the scuffle, the bandit’s accomplices opened fire on Ashraf to get him freed but the bullets hit their companion, who died on the spot.

Behind Bars: Three bandits arrested in Faisalabad 

On receiving information, SSP Operations Rana Masoom, Madina Town SP Malik Jameel Zafar, DSP Malik Khalid, Peoples Colony Police Station SHO Qamar Sajid and other policemen reached the spot and took the body into custody.

The deceased outlaw was identified as Muhammad Shafiq. The police said the deceased was a resident of Karachi and was wanted by Punjab police in a number of cases.

Meanwhile, at least three people were killed in different incidents in Faisalabad.


Bandits deprive people of valuables

Rescue 1122 officials said assistant lineman Muhammad Yousaf, 31, resident of Chak No 191, was working on an electric pole when he received a severe electric shock. As a result, he died on the spot.

In another incident, Sadaf, 38, of Syedabad received an electric shock when she accidently touched a live wire. She was taken to Allied Hospital where she breathed her last.

Similarly, 27-year-old Qaisar was hit by a speeding car. He was shifted to Allied Hospital for treatment but he could not survive.
