ISLAMABAD:
The police have arrested six people who were allegedly involved in armed snatching and mugging in the capital. Guns, bullets and motorbikes were also recovered from them. A police spokesperson said that SSP-Operations Sajid Kiani had directed action against armed motorcyclists involved in mugging incidents across the capital. A specially-constituted police team subsequently nabbed four people identified as Israr, Gul, Nabi and Habibur Rehman. Police recovered a motorbike, two pistols and 10 bullets from their possession. The men have allegedly confessed to their involvement in various incidents and further investigation is underway. Separately, CIA arrested two people involved in purse and mobile snatching.
