ISLAMABAD: Golra police on Saturday arrested 18 gamblers red-handed during a raid on a gambling den in Dhok Khokhran and recovered stake money from them, a police spokesperson said.
Acting on a tip-off, Saddar SP Hassan Iqbal formed a team under the supervision of Golra Police Station SHO Inspector Muhammad Abbass to arrest the gamblers. They raided the gambling den and arrested 18 gamblers red-handed and recovered Rs110,380 from them.
The suspects were identified as Shanawar Khan, Zafar Iqbal, Fazal Khan, Nazeer, Ikhlaq, Arshad, Tariq, Rafique, Aslam, Abdullah, Sheikh Humayun, Israr, Kareem Anwer, Ejaz, Moazzam, Basharat, Ehsan and Khurram Maqsood.Police have booked them under the relevant laws and launched an investigation.
