Afridi foundation, KMC sign MoU

Move will aid spread of sporting activities for youth in the city

KARACHI: The Karachi Metropolitan Corporation and Shahid Afridi Foundation (SAF) will soon sign a memorandum of understanding to hold sports and recreational activities in the city.

Edhi Foundation donates 10 ambulances to KMC

The foundation and KMC will work together to promote sporting activities in the city. This was decided during a meeting on Wednesday between cricketer Shahid Khan Afridi and Mayor Wasim Akhar held at mayor's office.

On the occasion, Akhtar said that youth of Karachi possess great talent and potential in all kinds of support and, with the support of an icon like Afridi, KMC will be able to provide better facilities to the youth to enhance their skills.

Akhtar also presented a shield to Afrdi and praised his efforts and services for the nation.

Afridi said he is glad to know that the city’s mayor is interested in spreading sports activities in the city, for which he will provide him with all kinds of support.

He added that youth participating in sports is better than anything else, as it stops them from being involved in any negative activities.
