All praise: Nisar lauds FC’s performance

Appreciates sacrifices rendered by the force to maintain peace

ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan while lauding the performance of the Frontier Constabulary (FC) said that it made a saving of Rs1 billion in the last year, which was reflective of the positive policies of the force’s leadership.

The minister also appreciated the sacrifices rendered by civil armed forces in ensuring internal and external security of the country and maintaining law and order in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P).

He was talking to the Commandant FC Captain (Retired) Liaquat Ali Khan who called on him in Islamabad on Tuesday.

They exchanged views regarding professional matters of the Frontier Constabulary during the meeting.

The interior minister stressed over the need for capacity building of the force by providing modern weaponry, equipment, and training.

The interior minister said that the performance of FC greatly improved over the past three years the credit of which goes to the current commandant.

The minister said the sacrifices of civil armed forces for ensuring internal and external security of the country are not hidden from anybody.

He said the whole nation respected the invaluable services of officers and jawans of Frontier Constabulary for tackling the challenges of law and order in K-P.

Nisar said it was imperative that special attention should be paid to the education and training of the personnel and for enhancing their technical capacities besides their traditional training so that they could meet the new standards of security.
