He said this while chairing a meeting to review physical progress, quality of work at the under construction building of NAB Headquarters.
During the briefing, the Pak PWD chief engineer said that the pace of work on constructing the building had been increased in light of directions issued by Chaudhry after his last visit to the under-construction building.
The engineer said that they were currently fixing the granite, exterior glass and floor tiles.
Moreover, the pace of work on external development along with internal finishes such as a false ceiling, PVC panelling has also been increased.
Moreover, they have arranged heavy machinery such as generators, lifts, HVAC system and work on installing them is under process.
Chaudhry, however, expressed his concerns over unnecessary delays in completing the project and emphasised on making all out efforts to complete the work.
He further observed that the pace of work was far less than that which is required to meet the timelines.
He directed all concerned officials to meet the timelines as per schedule.
The NAB chief further directed the director general of PWD, the chief engineer, consultants and contractors to complete the remaining work without any further delays and ensure that all quality standards are met with in accordance with the rules.
He stressed that there should be no compromise on the quality of material and execution of work.
