Eid rush: Shoppers throng markets in Rawalpindi

Shoppers have been frequenting Tench Bhatta, Saddar, Commercial Market and Lal Kurti, Moti Bazaar

RAWALPINDI: With less than 10 days to go to Eidul Fitr, the main markets in Rawalpindi have witnessed a spike in the number of people shopping for the festive event. Shoppers in larger number, mostly women and children, have been frequenting Tench Bhatta, Saddar, Commercial Market, Lal Kurti, Moti Bazaar and other markets of the town. The rush and buying spree is expected to continue till the eve of Eid. Meanwhile, store owners have decorated the markets while Eid stalls have been set up at various points offering different kinds of cosmetics, bangles, embroidered clothes, jewellery and trinkets.
