ISLAMABAD: The Federation of All Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association (FAPUASA) has rejected the adoption of aptitude tests for admission to undergraduate programmes, to be conducted by National Testing Council (NTC) established by the Higher Education Commission, without approval of the commission’s board and in violation of the universities acts.

“It is a deliberate effort to undermine the autonomy of universities which are already under crisis since the past four years,” FAPUASA said.

Reacting to a recent letter written by HEC to all public and private sector universities for seeking confirmation for adoption of HEC entrance tests to be conducted during July 2017 for admission to undergraduate academic programmes.
