ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Skipper Sarfraz Ahmed is making sure his team feels no pressure ahead of the high-profile clash with arch-rivals India during the 2017 Champions Trophy in Birmingham on June 4.

The 30-year-old, who will be leading the Pakistan side in his first International Cricket Council event, said they want to stay relaxed before the match.

Sarfraz Ahmed pledges to ‘fight hard’ to beat India

"It is important to be relaxed and confident before every big game, to keep the nerves in check," he said.

When asked what bowling combination he plans to unleash against India, Sarfraz said the decision would be made after looking at the pitch on match day.

Azhar believes Pakistan-India match 'just another game'

"It depends on how the pitch looks before the game,” he said. “We will unleash our best pace attack; maybe three or four fast-bowlers if needed, or a combination of spin and pace.”

The wicketkeeper-batsman vowed Pakistan will fight till the end against India. "You will see us playing to the best of our capabilities. You will see a fighting team," he said. "Cricket brings happiness to our nation; we will do our best to make our country proud.”

akber lakhani | 6 years ago | Reply Exactly so, team India and more than that Indian fans need to change their mindset. Unfortunately are not taking game as just game. It is not so that India have never lost to Pakistan. No doubt, Indian players at present are superior to Pakistani players in matters of their experience, facilities and their quality of the game........But so what?!......It is not all over...or is it?!....we will see.
Shah S | 6 years ago | Reply Team India are giants on the One Day Game; For Pakistan even to be in contention is a big thing; Team Pakistan needs to change their mindset from playing ancient technique cricket to mentally re-tune themselves to plan their scoring in first 20 overs and the last 20 overs; and play the one day cricket which is very different from Test or T20 cricket; Till then, India is very much there on the mantle;
