Adobe's new Scan app lets you scan and edit physical documents
The app is available on both iOS and Android
Adobe on Thursday finally released an app enabling users to edit and scan physical documents and we couldn't be happier.
The new app called Scan turns physical documents into digital documents enabling users to edit them. Scan which is available on both iOS and Android allows you to take a photo of documents or use an image from a camera roll.
"Adobe Scan turns your phone or tablet into a powerful scanning and text recognition tool that converts printed text into digital text that can then be re-used wherever you need it," according to a blog post.
End of anonymity? This app can identify people by scanning their faces
Scan uses Adobe's Sensei, the company's machine learning platform, to detect words, borders and more and makes the documents editable and searchable.

Artificial intelligence: Adobe's new app will let you take selfies like a pro
The app isn’t completely accurate with some Android users complaining that certain documents were not editable. Even though it doesn't seem to work perfectly, the need for such an app is paramount and Scan is certainly a great step forward to fill the void. Hopefully, the algorithm will improve over time.
