Annual budget: Rs468.98m approved for women varsity

PESHAWAR: The Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University on Wednesday approved Rs468.986 million as the university’s annual budget for 2017-18.

The budget was approved during the 20th Syndicate meeting of the university held at the main campus here under Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Razia Sultana.

The budget is based on a mix of funds raised by the university and assistance from the Higher Education Commission.

The syndicate meeting also approved the minutes of the 19th selection board in which several appointments were made in BPS 18 to the posts of lecturers in statistics, microbiology, political science, psychology, law, Urdu, English, management sciences, Islamiyat, fine arts, mathematic, physics, in addition to a deputy registrar and an executive engineer.

The syndicate also approved the minutes of the 8th Academic Council.

A member of the syndicate was nominated to the Affiliation Committee of the University and a list of experts was also approved for the university’s selection board.
