Two convicted in murder case

Qaisar Abbas and Jawad had gunned down a passenger Muhammad Umair during a robbery bid

A court awarded death sentence to a man and 35 years imprisonment to another for their involvement in a murder case in Sargodha on Wednesday.

The judgment was announced by Additional District and Sessions Judge Tariq Mehmood Shad. The prosecution told the court that Qaisar Abbas and Jawad had gunned down a passenger Muhammad Umair during a robbery bid on April 3, 2014.

The local police registered a case against the accused and presented the challan before the court. After hearing the arguments, the judge handed down death sentence to Jawad and 35 years jail term to Qaiser Abbas. The convicts were sent to District Jail Sargodha.


Woman arrested for plotting murder

Earlier, a court awarded death sentence to an accused for his involvement in a murder case in Sargodha. The judgment was announced by Additional District and Sessions Judge Ameer Mukhtar Gondal.

The prosecution told the court that accused Misal Khan, resident of Chak 19, and his two brothers Noor Khan and Awwal Khan, had gunned down a man Muzaffar Khan over a petty dispute in March 2014.
