After introducing camera-equipped sunglasses called Spectacles, Snap now plans to add drones to its arsenal.

Snapchat rolls out massive update to change everything

This is the latest step to move Snap away from an app-centric company towards a camera-based one.

Snap recently had their shares tumble 23 per cent in after-hours trading to wipe some $6 billion from Snap’s market value causing a loss of $2.2 billion in its first-ever earnings. With this move, Snap is taking a stride in GoPro's territory, but with a far greater reach into the mainstream consumer space as opposed to GoPro's relatively "enthusiast" action camera user profile.
