Instagram is now letting you send links in direct messages
The update also adds support for both landscape and portrait pictures sent through Direct
Instagram has just made an update to its direct messaging feature by adding the ability to send links directly in the app.
"Now, whenever you send a permanent photo or video to your friends in Direct from your camera roll, you don’t have to worry about cropping it," Instagram said in a blog post.
Additionally, the update also adds support for both landscape and portrait pictures sent through Direct. So, instead of being cropped they are now sent in their original dimensions.
You can now check Facebook, Messenger and Instagram notifications in one place
"We’ve also added support for links in Direct. You can share website links with friends and preview them directly from your thread."
You can now search for Stories on Instagram using location, hashtag
The links update is coming out on both iOS and Android users today but the portrait/landscape support feature is only available for iOS for now.
