PESHAWAR: Environment Protection Agency (EPA) Khyber Pakthunkhwa (K-P) and District Administration Peshawar sealed a tyre pyrolysis (recycling) and a scrap casting unit in Peshawar over creating environmental pollution. The action has been taken over non-compliance of Environmental Protection Order (EPO) issued to different units in Peshawar district, said EPA Director General Dr Muhammad Bashir.  The EPO was issued in pursuance of directive of Peshawar High Court (PHC) during hearing of a writ petition filed over increasing level of pollution in Peshawar city, adds the press release.
