ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court on Monday decided to jointly hear the petitions of an Indian woman and her Pakistani husband who allegedly got married but now their love story is heading in reverse.

Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kayani, while issuing notices to the Indian High Commission and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, decided to jointly hear petitions filed by the Indian lady Uzma, and Pakistani man Tahir Ali respectively, from the next hearing - May 22.

According to the petition, Ali, a resident of Buner, is seeking a meeting with his Indian wife Uzma who is currently living inside the Indian High Commission in Islamabad.

On the other hand, Uzma has also filed a petition in IHC alleging that Ali forced her to sign a nikahnama (marriage contract) at gunpoint.
