Khawaja Saad Rafique has sought report on goods train accident

LAHORE: Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique has ordered the PR administration to provide immediate relief to the passengers affected by goods train accident.

According to the PR sources, the minister who was on a visit to China along with the delegation led by the prime minister, contacted the PR administration from China after he came across the news about the accident on Saturday. He sought report on the goods train’s accident. He directed the PR administration to ensure restoration of track as soon as possible.

The PR administration informed the minister that passengers have been given both options including refund or travel to their destination from Hyderabad. The administration said the relief work was in progress with a brisk pace to restore the track for rail traffic.

It has been decided to operate Pakistan Express, Allama Iqbal express train, Business Express train, Karakorum express train from Hyderabad.
