Governor G-B Mir Ghazanfar Ali Khan said the decision will encourage tourism industry in the region. Senior Minister Gilgit Baltistan assembly Akbar Taban said the decision will increase tourist flow and generate economic activities.
Information Minister Iqbal Hassan said Federal Government is taking interest to promote tourism and removal of NoC condition is proof of it.
Earlier, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar while talking to the media on Thursday had said that the condition of NoC for tourists to visit G-B has been withdrawn.
However, he said, the diplomats, International NGOs, research workers and project related foreigners working in Gilgit-Baltistan would require security clearance before visiting the region.
