Area in New Karachi's Sector 11-B renamed on activist's first death anniversary

On the first death anniversary of human rights activist Khurram Zaki, his friends and fellow activists named the area where he was shot and killed in New Karachi's Sector 11-B in his honour.
A year on, Khurram Zaki’s killers remain at large
A marble plaque was installed, proclaiming the site 'Khurram Zaki Chowk'. According to activist and Zaki's friend Zafar Abbas, they named the area to honour 'a great martyr who was an advocate of interfaith harmony and tolerance'.
Khurram Zaki: In memory of a fallen comrade
He added that after Zaki's death, they are the torchbearers and will continue to raise their voices for the oppressed members of society, no matter what religion or caste they belong to. Zaki's other friends were also present on the occasion.
