Judicial custody: Three remanded in kite flying case

Seven others accused of robbery also in custody.

LAHORE: Three suspects were sent on a 14-day judicial remand for their alleged involved in a kite flying case.

Wahdat Colony and Gulberg police produced the three accused before a judicial magistrate, saying they were arrested under the mentioned charged, while kites and strings had been confiscated from their possession.

The counsel for the suspects claimed the three men had been implicated merely to humiliate them. He proclaimed their innocence, saying they had nothing to do with the matter.

The judge, after hearing the arguments, sent the suspects on a 14-day judicial remand.

Seven remanded in theft cases

A judicial magistrate remanded seven suspects into judicial custody for 14 days over their alleged involvement in different theft cases.

Faisal Town and Kotlakhpat police produced the seven men before a magisterial court.

Investigation officers contended that the accused were involved in street crime and motorcycle thefts.

The counsels for the accused said their clients were innocent and the police falsely implicated them. They also stated that the suspects were being humiliated despite having a clear record.

However, all seven were sent on a 14-day judicial remand.
