Karakorum Highway has been blocked for all types of traffic between Gilgit and Rawalpindi. The highway was hit by landslides caused by torrential rains in Jijal and Loter Nallah in Kohistan. Moreover, the Gilgit to Skardu and Gilgit to Kashgar roads were also closed for traffic due to landslides and mudflow. The Skardu road was blocked near Shangus and Karakoram Highway is closed for traffic at Murtazaabad in Hunza. Frontier Works Organisation has started work for restoration of traffic, Radio Pakistan reported.
