The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Thursday suspended eight officials for illegally occupying government-provided accommodation.

The officials had been occupying the houses without any entitlement or legal allotment.


“Under regulation 8.05 of the CDA Employees Service Regulation 1992, services of the employees had been placed under suspension with immediate effect and until further orders on account of their misconduct in term of Clause 16, Chapter IX of Accommodation Allocation Rules – 2002,” a statement issued by the CDA read.

CDA Member Administration Yasir Peerzada said that government accommodation is allotted to CDA employees under established norms and procedures.
