Verdict announced: Drug pusher gets four-year jail term

Accused was arrested during a raid and 1,563 grammes of hashish was seized from his possession.

SARGODHA: A court awarded four-year-jail term to a drug pusher on Thursday. The verdict was announced by Additional Sessions Judge Javed Iqbal Ranjha.

The prosecution told the court accused Muhammad Ramzan was arrested by police during a raid while 1,563 grammes of hashish was seized from his possession. Later, a challan was submitted in the court.

After hearing the arguments, the judge awarded four years imprisonment to Ramzan along with a fine of Rs20,000 as compensation money. The culprit was sent to Shahpur Jail.

Earlier, a court awarded death sentence to an accused in a murder case in Bhakkar. The judgment was announced by Additional District and Session Judge Abdul Rasheed.
