Murder-suicide: Woman kills self after strangling kids
The couple had tied the knot five years ago and was unhappy
LAHORE:
A 30-year-old woman committed suicide after strangling her two minor children at her house in Essa Nagri on Friday night. Shadbagh police said Kiran and her husband Saim Masih had a heated argument on Good Friday, a religious event of the Christian community. The man, who works at a restaurant, left for his workplace later but his wife strangled her four-year-old son Matthew and three-year-old daughter Eman. On hearing the children’ screams, the neighbours broke into the house to find the woman lying in a pool of blood. Kiran had taken her life by slitting her wrists while her children were found strangled. Police reached the site and informed Saim, who fell unconscious after seeing his family dead. The couple had tied the knot five years ago and was unhappy as altercations were a routine.
