Houston, in recent times, has seen some very creative apartment building architecture. In fact, a video of a glass-bottomed swimming pool, hanging off the 40th floor of a building, called the Market Square Tower in Houston, went viral on social media.

If you happen to be acrophobic and extreme heights send shivers down your spine then this swimming pool is not made for you.

The video, posted on the building's official Facebook page, shows a brave person treading the dangerous waters of the pool, hung off a towering building. Below his bare feet, the traffic on the road can be seen which might send many swimmers screaming for their lives.

The swimming pool, Houston's Jackson & Ryan Architects, is labeled the tallest in Texas and the only glass-bottomed pool in Houston. Opened in 2016, anyone who dares to swim in it has to make friends with a resident of the building first since it is not yet a public pool.

However, this is not the only pool that has made the rounds on social media. The Marriott Marquis Houston, which opened last year, has a Texas-shaped lazy river and an infinity pool on the rooftop that stands 110 feet above street level.

The Marriott Marquis cost $360 million, has 29 floors, 1,000 guest rooms and 52 event rooms including a 39,000 square-foot ballroom, the largest in Houston, reported the CNN quoting Marriott.

So, if you're an adventure seeker and are looking for an apartment, perhaps options like the ones above might appeal to you.
