Get residences vacated, DG health told

The health department has also been instructed to look into the procedure of house rent for government accommodation

PESHAWAR: The Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa health department, after receiving complains of illegal occupancy of government residences in health facilities, instructed the provincial director general health to probe the issue.

A letter sent from the K-P health secretary’s office, addressed to the DG health, shares names of the facilities and accommodation details which are to be vacated immediately.

According to the letter, a copy of which is available to The Express Tribune, “Illegal occupants [if any] should be reported along with their designations.”

The letter also instructs the health department official to adopt a proper standard operating procedure, in consultation with the Estate Office, for vacating the premises, if there is no criteria in place.”

The health department has also been instructed to look into the procedure of house rent for government accommodation.
