LAHORE: A large cache of illegal weapons, including shotguns and assault rifles, was seized in a raid in Shahdara on Tuesday. At a press conference at his office in Lower Mall, SP City Adil Memon said police were informed about a weapons dealer, Faheem Sarfaraz, receiving his shipment of weapons to be sold in Lahore. A police team raided his hideout and arrested the suspect. Twelve repeater shotguns, 22 pump-action guns, three 0.44 calibre rifles, 13 laser-guided guns, one 12-calibre shotgun and more than 4,200 bullets were seized from the hideout. DIG Operations Dr Haider Ashraf has appreciated the performance of City SP and his team in their campaign against illegal weapons. In Muslim Town, the FIA arrested a suspect Shahid Imran of Vehari in a raid on Ferozepur Road.
