“The condemnable and unjust decision is absolutely against the unanimously passed resolution of Punjab Assembly, which endorsed the move to restore the provincial status of Bahawalpur apart from creation of a new province in the name of South Punjab that was tantamount to insulting the provincial legislature, a sheer violation of the Constitution and the 18th amendment,” the former information minister said on Monday.

Durrani warned that the people of South Punjab will not yield to such pressure tactics and resist any such move.
