ISLAMABAD: People of South Punjab have rejected the provincial government’s move to appoint an additional chief secretary to divide Punjab, said Muhammad Ali Durrani.

He added that a massive campaign would be launched against such move, said the chief of movement for the restoration of Bahawalpur province.

“The condemnable and unjust decision is absolutely against the unanimously passed resolution of Punjab Assembly, which endorsed the move to restore the provincial status of Bahawalpur apart from creation of a new province in the name of South Punjab that was tantamount to insulting the provincial legislature, a sheer violation of the Constitution and the 18th amendment,” the former information minister said on Monday.

Xnain | 7 years ago | Reply Said Muhammad Ali Durrani Seriously? can he even win a seat of provincial assembly? Answer is plain no. At least ask someone who has a political weightage in the area. Even Jamshed Dasti has more political weight than this orphaned senator.
