Jolie, Pitt reach divorce agreement
Brad, 53, split from his Tomb Raider star wife in September, after a 12-year relationship. The messy break-up saw their large family – Maddox, 15, Pax, 13, Zahara, 12, Shiloh, ten and twins Vivienne and Knox, eight – caught in the midst of much media scrutiny.
But things are finally looking up again for the troubled actor. A source told People, “Things are definitely calming down.” They added that the Ocean’s Eleven actor had been spending time catching up with old mates and revealed, “He often has friends over. Old friends are back in his life and he seems happy about it.” According to the source, Brad has also been hitting the gym hard and was in “very good shape” after “losing a few pounds.”
Meanwhile Brad and Angelina’s divorce is playing out behind closed doors as the pair work with a private lawyer. Last month, Angelina publicly praised Brad for being a "wonderful father," despite having accused him of abusing their children just a few months ago.
Angelina told the host of live chat Good Morning America George Stephanopoulous, “We will be stronger when we come out of this, because that’s what we’re determined to do.” The star then insisted that they will “always be a family” when it comes to their six children.
Brad Pitt slams Angelina Jolie in court proceedings
Ever since news of their divorce broke back in September, the media has been ablaze with the reported that Brad had an altercation with Maddox on board their private jet shortly before. An investigation into Brad’s parenting was launched as a result. However, all allegations were later dropped as no evidence to support the claims were found. Sources now claim that in order to gain access to the children, Brad must undergo regular drug and alcohol screenings.
Brad and Angelina met on the set of 2005’s Mr & Mrs Smith and wed in 2014. After filing for the divorce, Angelina previously demanded joint legal and full physical custody of her brood, but Brad is reportedly now confident he will be awarded joint custody.
