Police arrest 15, recover drugs and weapons

RAWALPINDI: City police have arrested 15 suspects and recovered 1.8 kg of hashish, 37 litres of homebrew liquor, two 30 bore pistols and bullets, a 12 gauge repeater shotgun, a 9mm pistol and material for making firecrackers on Saturday.

According to police spokesperson, Ganjmandi police arrested Shakil and recovered 0.5 kilogrammes of hashish from his possession.

Mandra police recovered 1.3 kilogrammes of hashish from Rizwan. City police nabbed Dilbahar and recovered seven litres of liquor from his possession. Civil Line police arrested Bilal and recovered 10 litres of moonshine.

Jatli police recovered 10 litres of liquor from Mukhtar. Waris Khan police held Munir for possessing a 30 bore pistol and six bullets. Gujar Khan police found Amjad carrying a 30 bore pistol and three bullets. Sadiqabad police recovered a 12 gauge repeater shotgun from Faisal.

Airport police arrested Ihsan and recovered a 9mm pistol along with two clips from him. Morgah police arrested Adnan and Farooq and recovered firecracker making material from their possession. Police have registered cases and started investigation.
