Weekly review: Proposals on improving Rescue 1122 response times sought

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Metropolitan Corporation (IMC) Mayor and Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman CDA Sheikh Anser Aziz has sought proposals from concerned officials for further improving the response time of Rescue 1122.

While chairing a weekly progress review meeting of Cares 1122, Aziz noted that the department was serving citizens all over the city. He added that additional steps would be taken to reduce the response time of the service.

He directed the concerned officers to submit suggestions in this regard.

The meeting was informed by officials that Cares 1122 had attended 136 calls of different emergencies in the city in the past week. All calls were responded to promptly. After providing first aid, victims in these incidents were shifted to the nearest medical facility.

The mayor was told that most of the calls received last week, around 74, pertained to traffic accidents.

These calls were received from Sector I-10/2, Zoo Chowk, Gulberg Green Chowk, Islamabad Expressway, Park Road, Sector F-9 Park - Mehran Gate, Dhokari Chowk, Barma Bridge, Zia Masjid Highway, Sector F-10 Roundabout Margalla Road, Motorway Chowk, Puli Stop in Sector G-10, Zero Point on Kashmir Highway, Police Lines in Sector H-11, NUML University in Sector H-9, Nazamuddin Road, Margalla Phase-II, Park Road, Sector G-11 Signal on Kashmir Highway, Faisal Avenue, Faizabad Interchange, Zhurki Stop Sihala, Sector F-10 Markaz, Police Line Signal on Kashmir Highway, Chak Shahzad and Service Road on Sector G-11/2.

All road accident victims were shifted to Pims, Polyclinic, Naval Hospital, Shifa International, PAF Hospital and other
nearby hospitals.
