The hottest new model in town rises to the challenge of our Toss Up. Find out who her favourite fashion icon is, her go-to breakfast food and even the last lie she told!

What is your last thought before you go to sleep?

I count my blessings for the day.

According to you, who is the best model in Pakistan right now?

Javeriya Hanif is an exceptionally talented model. She has such a powerful face! I have worked with her on many occasions, and she’s such a fun and cheerful person to be around.

Choose an alternate career for yourself:

Definitely a lawyer! I love reading and writing and I’m majoring in literature.

Who is your fashion icon?

Audrey Hepburn. She was the embodiment of classy and sophisticated, all while still appearing to be mysterious and kind. Her style was unique and beautiful.



Who was the last person you called, and what did you say to them?

My brother Aly; I told him that I got a bucket of ‘Cookies and Cream’ ice cream from Häagen-Dazs, and asked him to load Game of Thrones since I’ll be home in five minutes.

What is the last photo in your camera roll?

A picture of my sister and her best friend at their graduation ceremony.

What was the last lie you told?

I didn’t eat the last slice of cake — guilty!

What is your favourite breakfast food?

A stack of blueberry pancakes with brown sugar and butter.

What is the strangest question you’ve ever been asked?

“I’m single, what do you have to say about that?”

Which designer do you want to model for, who you haven’t already?

I would love to model for Misha Lakhani. Her designs are so elegant and recherché.



Who is your favourite designer (local and international)?

Maheen Karim and Pierre Balmain.

What is the oldest item of clothing in your closet?

A pair of jeans from when I was 15 years old, it’s like they grow with me.

The best gift you’ve ever received?

My mom’s vintage, Gucci watch.

If you could meet anyone dead or alive, who would it be and what would you say to them?

Steve Jobs, and I would thank him for inventing the iPhone.

What are the three things you look for in your significant other?

Honesty, intelligence and a sense of humour.

Water bottle. I wouldn’t be able to survive without it.

What has been your proudest moment?

Thankfully, too many to count! But last year, when I walked for FPW SS16 for the first time, it was definitely a proud moment.

What is the strangest thing you have been asked to do on a shoot?

I haven’t really encountered anything strange — fingers crossed I never do.

If you could get one tattoo, what would it be and where?

A tiny heart on my left ring finger.

What is the strangest name anyone has introduced themselves as to you?

Shaddy, my father’s cook in Africa.
