Security Threat: Over 770 cops to guard polio teams

Police officials say all zonal SPs will personally supervise security duties in their respective areas

ISLAMABAD: More than 770 policemen, along with FC personnel, will provide security to vaccination teams during the upcoming anti-polio drive in Islamabad. According to directives from the police top brass, all zonal SPs would personally supervise security duties in their respective areas. Owing to fatal attacks on polio workers in the past, IGP Tariq Masood Yasin directed SSP Operations Sajid Kiani to devise a comprehensive security plan for the inoculation teams.
