Killed And Dumped: Young man’s body yet to be identified
A post-mortem examination of the body shows the man has been tortured to death
ISLAMABAD:
Three days after the body of a young man was found dumped in a storm drain in Islamabad, police have yet to identify the man. Police say the body was found lying in a stream in Sector I-11/4 on February 28. A post-mortem examination of the body, carried out at Pims on Wednesday, showed that the man had been tortured to death. The autopsy reports show that the man had died of blows to his head. Following the post-mortem, Sabzi Mandi police registered a murder case against unidentified assailants. Police said the deceased had been killed around two days before the body was recovered. Since police found no identifying documents on the deceased, officials said they had obtained his fingerprints and sent them to NADRA for help in identification. On Friday, police they were still waiting for a response from NADRA.
