FIR registered against Jatoi

Muzaffargarh police registered an FIR against Federal Minister Abdul Qayyum Jatoi for seizing ballot boxes from a returning officer.

According to reports, the minister snatched the boxes from a returning officer Rana Ishtiaq in Degree College, Muzaffargarh. Ishtiaq had been distributing election related material among election staff for Saturday's by-elections in PP-259.

As Jatoi started harassing the staff present, Ishtiaq called the police, who registered an FIR against Jatoi and 17 other people.

After the incident, section 144 was imposed in the district by DCO Muzaffargarh.
