Recovery: CDA to speed up drive against tax defaulters

While presiding over a meeting here on Wednesday, CDA Chairperson Imtiaz Inayat Elahi asked the Revenue Directorate to accelerate the campaign against tax defaulters and ensure recovery of property tax, water and other allied charges in a transparent manner.
Elahi also called for strict action against tax defaulters.
Earlier, Revenue Director Malik Muhammad Iqbal informed the committee that tax defaulters have been asked to deposit outstanding taxes to avoid legal action against them.
The directorate is also sending notices to the tax defaulters to expedite the recovery drive, he added.
