
Asian Development on Thursday said that it has planned to provide $35 million assistance for establishing two mini hydropower projects in Gilgit-Baltistan (G-B).
This was stated by Rune Stroem, Country Director, Asian Development Bank (ADB), at the launching ceremony of ‘Gilgit-Baltistan Economic Report” on Thursday.
“I am pleased to note here that ADB has planned assistance for development projects in G-B,” said the representative.
The projects would be established in Shigar Thang (26MW) and Chillas (4MW).
He mentioned that ADB is the largest development partner of the government of Pakistan to provide assistance in the energy sector.
