Radd-ul-fasaad: 54 suspects detained in operation

Huge quantity of arms and ammunition were also recovered

CHARSADDA: The security forces, under the operation Radd-ul-Fasaad, on Tuesday conducted a combing operation in Mandni area of Tehsil Tangi and arrested 54 suspects, said security officials. The security sources added that the operation was conducted by the army and police personnel during which huge quantity of arms and ammunitions were also recovered which included SMGs and several pistols. The security sources also said that the arrested suspects included nine Afghan nationals. Meanwhile, compensation cheques were handed to the families of slain Levies Force personnel and two civilians at a ceremony. The deceased had lost their lives during the militant attack on Political agency colony. The ceremony was held at Mohmand Rifles Headquarters at Ghalanai area Mohmand agency. Brigadier Mohammad Amer Kayani handed over cheques of Rs1 million each to the families of the martyred Levies personnel.
