ABBOTTABAD: Glowing tributes were paid to the late poet and writer Sufi Abdul Rasheed on Sunday as speakers termed his death a loss for literature in Hazara division. Bazme Ilm-o-Fan Hazara arranged the reference at Modern Age School and College on Sunday. Award winner and senior poet Sultan Sukoon presided over the session. Sukoon, who wrote the first Hindko dictionary, said that Rasheed – also known as Sufi sahib - was an encyclopedia of literature who had made great contributions towards promoting and nurturing literature by introducing different aspects of culture of Hazara through his literary work. Riaz Saghir, Dr Sufiyan Safi, Amir Sohail, Wahid Siraj, Ahmed Hussain Mujahid and Dr Ziaur Rasheed were among those who spoke to the participants who attended the reference meeting.
