Swat police arrest 20 suspected militants

Swat police tightened the noose around miscreants and arrested scores of suspects across the district on Thursday.

According to an official of the Mingora police station, the Swat police too have launched a crackdown on miscreants across the district.

“So far, Swat police have arrested 20 suspected terrorists including six Afghan nationals from various areas of Mingora.”

Police arrest two suspects outside district court Islamabad

The official said that the suspects were arrested from Watkay, Tahir Abad, Banr, Shahdara, Meena Bazar, Green Chowk and New Road.

The search operation against militants has been initiated by DSP Habibullah Khan while Station House Officers of all police stations of Mingora are complying with the orders.

Separately, police in the Matta tehsil arrested 13 suspected militants, during the past 24 hours.
