Pakistan left-arm pacer Junaid Khan has been contracted by Lancashire County Cricket Club to play for the English side in the NatWest T20 Blast this summer.

The 27-year-old fast-bowler previously represented the side in 2011 and 2014 seasons, where he picked 12 and 19 wickets respectively in the tournament.

“I thoroughly enjoyed both my spells at the Emirates Old Trafford and I’m looking forward to linking up with the squad later this summer,” said Junaid on the club’s website.

“The experiences I gained in those [previous] years have enhanced my performance and my ability to swing and seam when bowling. The different climate conditions have also strengthened me as player and hopefully this year I can give something back, both on and off the field.”

Meanwhile, Head Coach Glen Chapple said, “We’re delighted to bring Junaid back to Emirates Old Trafford following two very successful spells with the Club.”
