It's a first: Hijab-clad Halima Aden walks Yeezy Fashion Show and gets signed by IMG

Halima was the first model to wear hijab in swimsuit segment

Remember Halima Aden? A 19-year old, Somali-American, who was born at a refugee camp in Kenya, made headlines when she participated in Miss Minnesota US, and wore a hijab in the swimsuit segment.

Halima recently walked in the Yeezy Season 5 Show, being the first Hijab-clad model to ever walk the runway.

Halima took to Instagram and posted one of her pictures from Kanye West's fashion show.

Soon after, it was announced that the model has now been signed by IMG Models, a management agency who manages supermodels and has its roots in London, Paris, New York, Milan and Sydney.

The IMG Models agency has signed supermodels such as Gigi Hadid, Bella Hadid, Miranda Kerr, Lily Aldridge and Ashley Graham among many other models that have made it big today.
