Suicide: X-ray technician slits wrist in hospital

RAWALPINDI: A 25-year-old radiology technician committed suicide in the Tehsil Headquarters (THQ) Hospital Gujar Khan on Wednesday. The deceased, Hamid Rashid, a resident of the Dhok Amb area of Gujar Khan, allegedly ended his life over a domestic dispute, police said citing initial investigations. According to available information, Rashid was on night duty in  the X-ray room where he first swallowed some intoxicant  then slashed his wrist with a blunt weapon. Doctors tried to save his life. However, he died of excessive bleeding. THQ MS Dr Pervaiz Akhter shared that the young technician got married a few months ago and often seemed distressed and spent much of his time in the hospital.
