ISLAMABAD: A PIA flight carrying more than 115 Pakistanis from Japan arrived in Islamabad on Tuesday.

Speaking to the media at the airport, they said their homes and businesses have been destroyed in Friday's earthquake.

They said the Pakistani embassy in Japan did not help them in the aftermath of the earthquake and the tsunami, adding that 18 thousand Pakistanis were still stranded in different parts of Japan.

On Friday, Japan was rocked by a deadly earthquake which triggered a tsunami and caused massive devastation. An explosion at the ageing Fukushima No. 1 atomic plant blew apart the building housing one of its reactors Saturday, explosions continued on Monday as Japan battled against a nuclear meltdown.

Authorities fear the death toll from the disaster in Japan may top 13,000.

Rumi told his pupils ' the aim of a book may be to instruct, yet you may use it as a pillow. Although its object is to give knowledge, direction, profit. Our education system does not give us the perception of knowledge and direction, while profit is percieved as means of gaining wealth by whatever means available. How many would interpret the word profit as benefit to gain both worldly and spiritual experience. When the leadership in this country has lost sense of direction! How do you expect the masses not to behave like cattle. If every leader, commander, manager were to place this qoutation of Dag Hammarsjkold instead of verses from the Koran which they interpret according to whim. ' Your position never gives you the right to command. It only imposes on you the duty of so living your life that others can receive your orders without being humiliated. Can we search the haystacks of our mind to find the leadership that is not wealthy and powerful but with infallible character.

We did not incidently become such a ignorant society of hypocrites, it is the result of our awareness for this universal humanitarian consciousness, which we totally lack. To gather knowledge of our collective consciousness, we just need to watch our behaviour in traffic or just throw eyes on the garbage and filth lying everywhere on the roads, and all these hate crimes in the name of Islam or political parties. Our society is now being used as a synonymous for hell, intolerance, every day target killings, voilence towards children who are being brainwashed for suicide attacks etc. I feel really very sad.
